Yeah, you may be right. A few weeks ago I...Dylan,

Yeah, you may be right. A few weeks ago I read a blurb from Walt (or maybe it was Price, but I don't think so) that said, in essence, that they were going to encourage Joey to be more aggressive. I'm hoping the guaranteed money gives Joey the confidence to not listen to their "wisdom".

It's a complicated offseason for the Reds. I feel like they need to make a sizable move to rework the lineup. I'm not sure they can get over the hump as currently configured. That's a putting a sizable wager on a bounce back season from Ryan Ludwick. Is that a safe bet? I don't know.

I have a few thoughts on what I think the Reds should do, but they are too long for a comment, so I'll throw them into a quick post. I haven't given up on the home nine, just can't seem to get a complete post written. Writer's block, I suppose. I have a number of half written articles and even more thoughts bouncing around my head, so I'm due for a spurt of productivity. Not to mention, I'm going to be cranking out my prospect write-ups shortly.

Anyway, good to hear from you and thanks for the comment!

Best,
LarkLark11https://www.blogger.com/profile/06571198327064220683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6347536209014288641.post-57920965674203608132013-12-03T19:15:29.011-08:002013-12-03T19:15:29.011-08:00Great article like always. I haven't been here...Great article like always. I haven't been here in awhile. Totally agree with everything except I'm not sure how much fans were appreciating Phillips by the end of the year and now everyone wants to trade him. I think it was less loving Phillips and more disapproving of Votto (though incorrect) if that makes sense. At least that is the vibe I got as the last few months went on. I guess if I could try to clarify, the fans weren't saying, "votto, you should be more like Phillips." they were saying, "votto, be more like YOU, two seasons ago." But that's just me. Do you think the Reds are in big trouble given the money issues coupled with probably having a two hitter offense? There a lot of guys coming up for contracts on the pitching side especially. Given what the Cards are doing what would you do to navigate these murky waters? Or have you given up after that playoff game and that's why you've stopped posting lol!!? Your wisdom is needed more then ever. Dylanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02024643490426922584noreply@blogger.com
